If i ever move again I will definitely use Mcguire's!! Every aspect of my move went well. Mr. Josh came out and did a free estimate with great suggestions for my move. The movers where prompt, professional, eager, asked questions of things I would have never thought to think of; like if I wanted to put a bedskirt on before they placed the mattress on the bed? They had on uniforms. Everything remained in excellent condition. Mr. Josh and the movers were considerate of time and money. I just about cried tears of joys because of how smooth the move went, in comparison to my experience with All my Sons. Thank you Mcguire Moving company!!!!!!

Josh from Mcguire Moving & Storage came out and gave me an estimate and hints on moving. We were packing a lot of shelves and he gave us pointers on that. The estimate he gave us was 15-1600 dollars but the move came right around to 1100 dollars. I thought that was really great! The move was an 8-hour long distance move from St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri and the travel time was actually less than that because the men were really polite and nice. When we got to the new house, we had many boxes and they made sure to ask where to put everything we wanted. It was a really positive experience.

Good, not Great

I understand a lot of factors come into play when moving, especially during the winter, but I have to say overall I was not impressed with the movers we had.
My wife and I have moved probably close to 10 times over the last 8 years for work and we have always hired movers with little to no trouble. I am always amazed how fast and efficient they normally are. This was not the case with our movers. While they never did anything wrong, and they were always moving loading and unloading things, I felt like we were watching Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Very very slow and unmotivated to complete the job in a timely fashon.
I know they could say they were just being careful and doing their best not to ding anything, but this was really ridiculous. I chose these movers because they had great online reviews. Maybe we just caught the wrong movers on the wrong day.
One final thing. I know this might be nit-picky, but they arrived at 8:05 and completed work at 2:07. I was charged for 8:00-2:15. This is the first movers I've hired that rounded their time up.
Not the end of the world, and not the worst movers we've had, but will not reccomend.

They broke a $1,200 professional printer among other complaints
“My fiancé called 3 different numbers for you all on Saturday and then again the same 3 numbers on Sunday. Despite following all the rules given by you, namely the recommendation of having “off limits” room(s) - your movers not only entered said off limits room,but moved many boxes around - and broke a piece off $1,200 professional photo printer in “off limits” room.”

I have a buyer for this printer and they just knocked off a good chunk of change for selling a new printer. Screenshots attached of the broken piece (you can see they broke the plastic hook off on the right side of the piece, as well as well they left it, and including the clear “off limits” room sign). Not only did they not have the courtesy to let me know or ASK to use the second bathroom (there’s a bathroom they were invited to use and had access to), but they placed the broken piece on the printer amongst other items without saying a word to me. Not to mention, the 8 cigarette breaks taken from when they arrived and took around 8 hrs to finish their job. There were already issues I could’ve complained about prior to finding the printer broken that we will discuss when I get a call back from your company. Not to mention the conversations I heard, namely what I assume was a manager that came in when they first arrived telling them they had already made mistakes. Let alone hearing them complain about their own company, wanting to quit because they’re unfairly treated, and complaining about the amount of things they had to move (it’s a two bedroom apartment, it shouldn’t take 8 hrs OR me hearing them complaining about it). I am highly upset. The least you could do is to return our calls. I expect the broken equipment to be replaced. My number is 573 281 9338. I would like a phone call first thing in the morning. One positive - the movers were polite outside of the obvious complaints listed above.
